Jim Woodard |
 |
My name is Jim Woodard. I am the
oldest son and second child of Everett and Norma Woodard. I was raised
as a young child in a moral home (no swearing, or drinking, etc.). My
Mom saw to it that we attended church each Sunday. We attended a small
community church because it was close to our home. I was told that we
were Methodist because I was baptized (sprinkled) as a child. When I
was in third grade we moved to a farm in Marilla. It was shortly after
we moved that my older sister talked my mom in to taking her to hear an
evangelist speak at Kleinhans. My sister and Mom accepted Jesus that
night. When they got home they were excited to share Jesus with me.
For the first time I heart Romans 3:23; 6:23; 10:9; John 1:12; 14:6; and
Ephesians 2:8 and I understood that Jesus gave His life and shed His
blood willingly. He did this because it was the only way my sins could
be blotted out and I could stand before a righteous God.
I accepted
Christ that night as my Lord and Savior and praise Him. Even though I
have failed Him many times He has always been faithful. Over the past
58 years, as I have considered God's gift, I understand that my praise
and worship can never come close to describing how great a God we
worship, I look forward to His promise in John 14;2-3 that He is coming
again to take us home to be with Him forever. |
