HOW TO JOIN FAITH FELLOWSHIP CHURCH

The Bible, through both Jesus Christ and NT epistle writers, points out that active membership of a local church body is necessary for believer’s encouragement, protection, and instruction. We have adopted the term “Committed Broken Servants” in lieu of the term “membership”. As we use the term “CBSers” it reminds us of who we are: committed to following Jesus Christ, broken by our personal sin and fully reliant on God’s grace, and servants of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ. We seek to carry out this vision through our four step process by which to join FFC.

Introduction to Faith Fellowship Church Classes:

We welcome everyone to attend our ten session series of one-hour CBS classes, offered quarterly (Jan, April, July, October), during 9:30am Bible Classes.

The curriculum is comprised of ten one-hour classes entitled:

Salvation Pt. 1

Salvation Pt. 2

Salvation Pt. 3

Salvation Pt. 4

What we Believe Pt. 1
What we Believe Pt. 2
Mission of FFC
Why join FFC?
Committed Broken Servant Specifics
Committed Broken Servant Service

Those who have attended all ten classes are able, but not obligated, to join FFC. The next step would be to call for a “Committed Broken Servant Interview” with an elder.

Junior Committed Broken Servants

Those ages 12-18 who have completed the four-series “Salvation” classes at the Youth Center, and desire to become part of the body may attend the final six CBS Classes to become JR.CBSers, until age 18 when they complete the process as an adult.

Committed Broken Servant Interview:  (These interviews take place prior to the scheduled elder’s meeting the third month of the quarter).
In an approximately 45 minute meeting, the prospective CBSer meets with a pastor or elder to provide basic biographical information and recount God’s converting work in his/her life. After signing the Church Covenant, the prospective CBSer may move to the next step: elder recommendation.

Elder Recommendation:
At a regularly scheduled elders’ meeting, the pastors and elders review the applicants’ testimony. Upon receiving their collective approval, the candidate’s application proceeds to the next step: congregational affirmation.

Congregational Affirmation

During a Friday night CBS Testimony night, the elders ask the applicants desiring to become CBSers questions in front of the congregation.  The following Wednesday (Pastor’s Forum) a pledge is made between the body and those being admitted into membership.
