The Sports Ministry at Faith Fellowship Church exists to provide people with opportunities for building relationships with people within the church and from the surrounding community, all for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to serve our local community by providing free leagues and camps for children, youth and adults to be able to enjoy playing sports. In John 17:20-21, Jesus prayed that the world would look at Christians and see an unparalleled unity reflecting the unique relationship that He enjoyed with God the Father:
“Neither do I pray for the disciples only, but for them also which will believe on me through their word; That they may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Nothing more closely resembles that oneness and unity than the oneness and unity of a team, and it is through competition on the playing field that the team mentality of the local church is presented to a lost and dying world. By providing opportunities for Committed Broken Servants to invite their family and friends to participate in sports offered here at Faith Fellowship Church, we are extending a loving hand to people that might not come to church otherwise. As people develop relationships with the CBSers at FFC, we trust that the love, compassion and forgiveness of Jesus Christ will be evident to them. This facet of Faith Fellowship Church exists for His glory. |
Think you’ve got what it takes to overcome whitewater fury? If not, don’t worry- the 2010 FFC Rafting Trip to Letchworth State Park isn’t as intense as you think! At 7:45am on Saturday, April 24th, those 13 and older who sign up are headed to navigate the Class I/II Genesee River for a day of paddling, splashing and fun. The cost for this trip is only $34 per person, which includes a $7 wetsuit rental that is mandatory for this time of year.
After our rafting trip, bring your picnic lunch and meet at a scenic reserved pavilion for great fellowship and recollection of the day’s events. This is an outing that you don’t want to miss!
Register with your information below. Print off the 2-page waiver & liability release form for each person in your party, and submit them to Tyler Weymouth along with your trip payment. Make checks payable to “Faith Fellowship Church.” You will officially be signed up when you have fully paid. See you there! |
